Question: What do you get when you mix art, cereal and cupcakes?
(Hint: It's not a crayoned up box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.)

Answer: The Shoppe Cereal/Cupcake Bar.

As of this Saturday, there's a new bar in town. Except, imagine this, it doesn't serve alcohol. Nope, The Shoppe is a bar that primarily sells cold cereal and cupcakes. 16 different types of cereal, that is. And it doesn't stop there. They're stocked full of various types of milk (like rice & soy), plus they have a frenzy of toppings to pick from; marshmallows, chocolate chips and more.

The folks at The Shoppe (one of which also owns The Fabric Lab) understand that some people just want a place to hang at night that doesn't involve alcohol. That's why it's open late. However, they also realize that plenty of peeps do like to get crunk on weekends, and tend to get hungry for sweets after the bars close. Then there's the mommies who'll want to take their kiddies for some cereal and story telling (last Saturday of every month from 1-2 PM) or to watch old school cartoons.

The pastries themselves come courtesy of Emma Rose Cakes, which now calls The Shoppe it's baking headquarters. All sweets are made from scratch, which means; no corn syrup, shortening or preservatives. And without comprising taste, pastry chef Emma Skala, likes to use less sugar and more natural ingredients like fruits and nuts. In addition to her scrumptious cupcakes, The Shoppe will also be serving her delectable coffee cakes, peanut butter sandwich cookies and Gooey Gooey Bars.

On Wednesdays, The Shoppe has either Project Runway night or Cupcake decorating classes, Fridays DJ DSRN plays sultry hip hop and on Saturdays you can bring in crafty projects for " 'Do-It-Your-Damn-Self' day," then partake in Art + Design movie night. Every three months, The Shoppe will host an art opening and there will always be a bunch of design books available to peruse while munching on your cheerios.

Changing the Denver bar scene one cupcake at a time, The Shoppe is the place to finish off your next night on the town.
