Bloody Mary's, Espressos, and Pomegranate vodka cocktails

It's not a dive bar, nor a sports bar. It's not a diner or even a restaurant at all. It's a bar that serves food and it goes by the name, Sputnik. Even the kitchen has a name (Strekla) at this totally hip South Broadway hang out. However, don't let the Russian names fool you, the food here is, like the bar, impossible to categorize, and they like it that way! If you had to call it something, it'd be eclectic Asian and American street food, but even that leaves you wondering.

Specializing in vegan and vegetarian dishes, Sputnik offers a little of everything: from Corn Dogs ($2) and Cuban Pork sandwiches ($7), to traditional Japanese Ramen ($6.50) and Veggie Fritters ($4.50). If you feel like getting an extra quick bite, you can even order food from their to go window, off the street. One thing's for sure: it's not your typical bar food. It's much better and way cooler.
The Indy rock scene at the neighboring Hi-Dive concert venue, heavily dictates the vibe found at Sputnik. Even the walls are decorated with drawings from the band members themselves. The bar is made of an artsy combination of steel and concrete, the walls are painted in a super stylish sixty's look and they even have a photo booth! Try finding all that at some other Denver bar!
