Frying Saucers

"Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please?
Won't you please?
Please won't you be my neighbor?"
It's as if Mr. Rogers was sitting at Sazza, munching on one of their deliciously organic pizzas, while writing this classic children's song. It's a feeling impossible not to share, after visiting this Greenwood Village - far from your typical - neighborhood restaurant.
They serve salads and pizzas and that's it. And that's enough when you do it right. The salads come in unique varieties, like the Sunshine, made with garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds and more, tossed with one of their signature homemade dressings ($10). In fact, everything you'll find here is made from scratch in house, and the organic ingredients actually come from LOCAL farms. And were not talking local, as in somewhere in the West. But local as in, the Roma Tomatoes are from a farm a half mile down the street!
The pizzas come in even more varieties than the salads, from the Sausage and Roasted Baby Portobello Pizza ($12) to the Cheeseburger ($13) and French Onion Pizzas ($11).
Sazza, prides itself on a high end dining experience mixed with quick service and a laid back attitude. And once you sit down, don't expect to get up for a refill (they come to you).
This Green restaurant makes it a point to support sustainable businesses. All the furniture is either made from reclaimed spruce/aspen trees or other recycled materials. The To-Go-ware is made from corn and potatoes, the glasses come from recycled wine bottles and the plates are made locally.
We knew you'd be jealous of Sazza's neighbors. But even if you're not in the neighborhood, you're still invited. Did we mention they make dessert pizzas?
