Just a Leap, Skip and a Jump

Ey mate, try a beer! An imported, twenty-ounce pint of English beer that is. At The Hungry Toad, an English pub transported in 1991 from London to Boulder, you’ll find all sorts of English goodies and awesome toad memorabilia.
But don’t get confused, this ain’t yo average pub. As opposed to those raunchy bars where you actually get nervous ordering food, Toad’s offers a menu that reaches far beyond typical pub fare. In fact, from the French Onion Soup ($3.69) and Veggie Chimichangas ($8.79) to the Tri-Colored Tortellini ($9.99), you wouldn’t even know you were in a bar at all. And there’s more where that came from. Specialties include English favorites like Fish and Chips ($11.99), Shepard’s Pie ($11.99) and Bangers and Mash ($10.99).
It’s a neighborhood joint, loved by local North Boulderites. Fans of hard to find English beers like Speckled Hen, Babbington’s and Fuller’s ESB also can’t get enough. Scrabble and Cribbage are available upon request, and some even bring their own games to play (acceptable only if you buy lots and lots of beer).
So follow the stars, and head North. Don’t stop 'til you see the giant toad on the wall (West side of the street). There’s a beer there with your name on it.
